Nintendo’s First NES Commercial Is Here
This weekend, advertising begins for the NES via a TV commercial in the New York area. It begins with R.O.B. the robot emerging from an egg with the announcer asking: “Will you be the one to witness the birth of the incredible Nintendo Entertainment System?” It goes on to show two boys playing Gyromite and Duck Hunt, both packed in with the Control Deck, 2 controllers, R.O.B. the robot, and the Zapper light-gun.
The commercial seems kind of futuristic and definitely shines the light on R.O.B. as the central selling piece. This could be smart because of the huge popularity robots are amongst kids these days.
