Nobody Beats The Wiz Now Carrying The NES
We’ve been covering the latest retail news on where to find a brand new NES set if you live in and around the New York metropolitan area. Today we spotted an ad from The Wiz that lists it for only $139. Interestingly they call the NES controller “The Link”, which is a bit strange, as they seem to get every other component correct. The ad also says it includes 2 free video games, which should be the normal bundle that everyone else is carrying that includes Duck Hunt and Gyromite.
A small blurb off to the side calls out that all video cartridges are in stock and on sale, but fails to list prices. Keep in mind most stores are selling the additional games for between $20 and $30. While you’re there you can finish up your Christmas shopping by picking up a Toshiba 19” color TV for $299 and 6-pack of Panasonic VHS tapes for only $27.88.
