CES: Now You’re Knitting With Power!
The CES is a place for companies to show off new and exciting technology that may or may not be coming to your home in the near future. Nintendo took this opportunity to demo a new device, called the Nintendo Knitting Machine. It hooks up to the NES and allows users to actually create new garments.

The demo seemed neat in execution, but the Nintendo representatives were quick to note that it’s a prototype and not an actual product ready for primetime. I imagine the cost of the device and limited appeal might keep it off of store shelves, but who knows? Maybe we will all be wearing homemade clothing in a few years made with the power of the NES.
