Fall 1987 Issue Of Nintendo Fun Club News

The third issue of Nintendo Fun Club News has been arriving in subscribers’ mailboxes over the past few weeks and we finally have our hands on it! It’s a real treat to see the magazine format this time around and much of the issue is in full color. The pages have grown as well, with 24 pages of NES goodness to look at. The majority of the editorial covers Nintendo’s own games, which is probably to be expected. However, they’ve added in some third party licensee advertisements to show off some of the latest and greatest being offered by the other Game Pak publishers.

Most of the information contained in this issue has already been announced over the past few months, including adding Mike Tyson to the Punch-Out!! name. That cartridge should be arriving in retailers later this month. If you purchased The Legend of Zelda, you’ll notice an expanded map in this issue that contains more helpful hints that weren’t included in the map with the game. This is perfect for those stuck in some of the later mazes!

In addition there are in-depth looks at Metroid and Kid Icarus, complete with color screenshots. You’ll find hints and tips for those games and Super Mario Bros. from the pros at Nintendo and from fellow Fun Club members that
