NES Commercials Round-Up
Longtime readers of the site or avid watchers of television may feel a spat of déjà vu upon watching one of the latest Nintendo commercials that’s airing in some areas of the country. That’s because Nintendo has spliced two of its 1986 commercials into a new one to air during the holidays. It’s not all the same, however, as it features some new third party games like Karnov (which should be hitting local stores any day now) and BreakThru.
In addition, over the past few months Nintendo has been promoting some of its latest Game Paks. These include Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! and Rad Racer. Both commercials do a stellar job of showcasing the games in style.
Finally we have Konami’s Top Gun commercial. It’s a little on the bland side, but it does a good job of showcasing what the game is all about. Plus, we have the outrageous Australian ad for the NES, which came out over there a few months ago. I don’t know about you, but it’s kind of creepy!
