January 1988 Computer Entertainer

The latest issue of Computer Entertainer is now on its way to subscribers. It covers a bunch of news from the recent Winter CES in Las Vegas where Nintendo and its licensees showed off current and upcoming Game Paks for the NES. With 23 third parties now creating games for the Nintendo, more games than ever are on the way.

The editors handed out their awards for best games of 1987. For Nintendo the game of the year went to The Legend of Zelda. Sports game of the year went to Double Dribble. Most innovative program went to Family Fun Fitness with Athletic World.

The newsletter also received advanced copies of Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road and Gun.Smoke, both of which are reviewed. The former got a perfect score and the latter only received 2.5 out of 4 for graphics and 2 out of 4 for Entertainment Value. You can read the entire issue below!
