New 3DS Bundles Announced For Japan

Just last month in America, Nintendo finally released the smaller sized New 3DS. The white system came with 2 Animal Crossing cover plates, Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, and an amiibo card for $219.99. In Japan, this style of New 3DS has been available for over a year now, and they have a ton of cover plates to choose from. They regularly get new bundles and covers, and next month is no different.

Launching on November 28, these four bundles will hit Japanese retail shelves. Each comes with a New 3DS, a specific Cover Plate, a 4GB micro SD card, and (wait for it) an AC adapter! That’s right, these bundles include a power cord, something that is often missing from Japanese hardware, and more recently absent from our own New 3DS systems over here in the U.S. These systems will retail for 17,000 Yen, which as of today is roughly $142 U.S. dollars. For those that already own the handheld, the cover plates will be sold separately for 2,000 Yen, or about $17. Below are the four bundles that Japan will receive:

This black New 3DS features 30th anniversary Super Mario Maker cover plates.
Bundled with this white New 3DS are these Hello Kitty cover plates.
Monster Hunter X (cross) cover plates come with this black New 3DS.
Animal Crossing is all the rage, so these cover plates go great with the white New 3DS.
