Past 6 Months of Digital Sales Double YoY

When compared to the same first 6 months of FY 2015, FY 2016 digital sales are double, totaling 21 billion yen. This is an all-time high for first-half download sales for Nintendo. According to them, this is primarily due to the sales of add-on content. Nintendo has more recently gotten into paid DLC with games like Fire Emblem Awakening, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros., and the newest Fire Emblem If in Japan (Fates in the U.S.).

DLC

The top 5 games featuring DLC are: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Pokémon Rumble World, and StreetPass Mii Plaza. America makes up almost half of all digital content sales.

I know I’ve contributed to those sales by purchasing the Mario Kart 8 packs and the StreetPass Mii Plaza expansions. Have you bought any DLC on Nintendo platforms? If so, what?
