Top 10 Selling amiibo by Region
At today’s investor meeting, Nintendo offered up lots of sales data. One of the most interesting bits of information shared was the top selling amiibo by region. The U.S. and Europe have the same amiibos in spots 1 and 2 with Link taking the lead and Mario coming in second. This is surprising as I figured Mario would be the top dog. In Japan the #1 spot goes to Animal Crossing amiibo cards. Interestingly enough, second place is also Mario, but not the Smash Bros. figure like the U.S. and Europe, but the Super Mario series one, which didn’t even crack the top 10 in the other markets.
