Fire Emblem Fates New Nintendo 3DS XL System Announced

Have you been waiting to upgrade to a New Nintendo 3DS XL? Perhaps the right color just hasn’t come out yet? Well, Nintendo is set to release another limited edition model on February 19, 2016 to commemorate the launch of Fire Emblem Fates. It will retail for $199.99 and features art inspired by the game. The front of the 3DS is white and the back is black, representing the two different versions of the game that will be available at launch: Birthright and Conquest. The New 3DS XL system does not include a copy of the game, hence the normal pricing on the hardware.

Keep in mind a few days later (February 27) Nintendo is releasing the regular sized New 3DS in white with 2 Pokémon cover plates for the same $199 price. That bundle also includes digital copies of Pokémon Blue and Red. So, if you prefer the smaller form factor and are a fan of Pokémon that might be the better choice. The point being, you will now have more choices than ever to choose the system that’s right for you, which is awesome!
