Nintendo Updates Million-Seller Titles
Nintendo has just released its third quarter sales results, which include the all-important end-of-year holiday shopping season. We now have a better picture of which games have sold well, with precise figures straight from Nintendo themselves. Below are the life-to-date sales numbers for games that have surpassed 1 million sold for the Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo 3DS
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer – 2,930,000
Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire – 11,460,000
Mario Kart 7 – 13,030,000
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS – 7,920,000
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes – 1,080,000
Wii U
Splatoon – 4,060,000
Super Mario Maker – 3,340,000
Mario Kart 8 – 7,240,000
Yoshi’s Woolly World – 1,310,000
Splatoon and Super Mario Maker have really sold well for only being on the market for a short period of time. The sales data includes software included in hardware bundles. It also includes sales of digital copies.
