Yo-Kai Watch Medallion Interaction Video
To say Yo-Kai Watch has been a phenomenon in Japan is an understatement. It hasn’t caught on as well over in the U.S., but it definitely has its fans. One thing that I didn’t realize is that the game can interact with the toy medallions being sold in gaming and toy stores. These small discs can be read by the 3DS and give perks in game. I’m sure this is probably old news to most of the owners of the game, but I don’t recall ever seeing any information about this prior to this short 30-second video showcasing the feature.
Perhaps the synergy between the cartoon, the game, and the toy line will pay off and propel the franchise to higher sales and penetration America. I wasn’t thrilled with the game after playing the demo on the eShop, but I have yet to give the full version a try. Are you a fan? Let us know why or why not in the comments section below.
