Miitomo Launching March 17 In Japan

Nintendo’s first smartphone app is almost here. Miitomo is coming out next week in Japan on March 17. As you’ll recall, users can pre-register for the app and earn points for My Nintendo, a reward program that’s already up and running in Japan, and will go live in the U.S. around the time Miitomo releases over here. Japanese players have until Noon (Japan Time) on March 16 to pre-register and earn the points.

The exact date that Miitomo will release in the U.S. is unknown, but Nintendo has previously stated it would arrive before the end of this month. Pre-registration is still open for U.S. residents and it’s a no-brainer as it’ll be a free download and you’ll earn some rewards. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more. Until then, check out our preview.
