Miitomo Has Over 1 Million Downloads
In just three days, Nintendo’s first smart device app has been downloaded over 1 million times. In the Japanese iTunes store Miitomo is the number 1 free app, and on Google it’s ranked number two. This bodes well for Nintendo’s first foray into the mobile space, especially when you consider the lack of a major franchise being attached to it like Mario or Zelda.
Miitomo is scheduled to release in the U.S. before the end of this month. It will arrive on iOS and Android and will be free to download. If you haven’t done so already, you can still pre-register to be notified when the app will be made available. This allows you to earn some extra points for the upcoming My Nintendo rewards program, which will launch on the same day as Miitomo does.
