4-Minute Kirby: Planet Robobot Japanese Trailer

I never thought I’d be so excited for a Kirby game, but Planet Robobot certainly has the potential to be the greatest installment ever. I was really digging the game back when it was shown during the last Nintendo Direct, but now Nintendo of Japan has released a four-minute trailer detailing many of Kirby’s powers and mech abilities, and it looks amazing. I can’t wait to play this game with the 3D cranked up on the 3DS to really get the sense of depth that the last game was so famous for. I love the part of the video where Kirby goes flying into the 3DS screen, cracking it in the process.

In addition to the main game, there are two other modes included. The first is Team Kirby Clash and allows up to four players to join forces to battle against powerful bosses. Each person selects one of four roles and go on a quest to vanquish the evildoers. The other mode is a 3D puzzler that has you trying to eliminate the enemies in as few turns as possible to try and earn a high score.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is scheduled to release in Japan in a couple weeks, but we have to wait until June 10 in the U.S. market. For more information, including screens and video, check out our preview. Until then, I’ll be counting down the days until the game’s release.
