Miitomo Acquires 10 Million Unique Users

Nintendo’s first smart device app has been on the market for just under a month in the U.S. and just over a month in Japan. It has amassed over 10 million unique users in that short of time. Not too shabby for a first crack at the market, and it’s only available in a small amount of territories at the moment. It should expand out to more countries sometime in the next few months.

While Nintendo didn’t disclose exactly how much Miitomo has earned so far, it did mention that the estimates that were reported on a few weeks ago are in the ballpark. If you recall, SurveyMonkey had estimated that Miitomo was bringing in about $40,000 every day.

The next two games in Nintendo’s smart device lineup include Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem, two beloved franchises that Nintendo fans across the world adore. Details aren’t yet available as to what these two games will consist of, or whether they’ll be traditional versions or something else entirely. We’ll know more soon and report as more details become available.
