Zelda Wins 3 Best Of E3 Game Critics Awards
It appears I wasn’t the only one mesmerized by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). After watching hours and hours of footage and knowing I’ve seen less that 2% of the final game, I’m excited as ever to play the final version next year.
Nintendo took a huge gamble by shelving all of their other releases and focusing only on Zelda at this year’s E3 show floor. It appears to have paid off with the booth being packed all three days of the show and it winning many sites game of the show awards.
Now, it has won even more accolades with three Game Critics Awards. These are voted on by 40 global media outlets and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won all three of the categories it was nominated in:
Best of Show
Best Console Game
Best Action/Adventure Game
Congratulations to Nintendo and all of the hardworking developers and programmers that are continuing to put extra work into making it the best Zelda game ever. Breath of the Wild is scheduled to release simultaneously for the Wii U and Nintendo’s next platform, codenamed NX, some time in 2017. We expect to learn more about the NX and Zelda this fall when Nintendo is supposed to announce more details.
