VIDEO: Yooka-Laylee Gamescom 2016 Trailer

Do you have fond memories of Rare’s 3D action-platform games from back in the N64 days? From Banjo-Kazooie to Conker’s Bad Fur Day, they definitely had a style all their own. Now, some of the development team from that era have formed their own company, Playtonic Games, and are crafting a brand new creation from the ground up, albeit with a very familiar art style and soundtrack.

One set of eyes just isn’t enough. It looks like the duo will have some transformation abilities.

The new game is Yooka-Laylee and it will be launching on the Wii U sometime in early 2017. The graphics and worlds look great and the gameplay is reminiscent of the classics from the late ’90s.
