NES Classic Edition Will See Replenishment

Much like the Wii craze back in 2006 and 2007, the NES Classic Edition has virtually sold out nationwide. We know it can be frustrating to try and locate something you really want, especially as we near the gift-giving season. Luckily, Nintendo has stated that there will be more shipments of the mini-console to retailers over the next few months and into next year.

The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check availability.

At least we know it’s not a one-and-done item and that Nintendo plans to continue shipping more Control Decks. There’s also a huge shortage on additional NES controllers, so hopefully those will flow into stores as well. It looks like Nintendo has another big hit on its hands. I just hope it doesn’t take as long as the Wii did to catch up with demand.
