Nintendo has been publishing a series of interviews with some of the developers behind many of the 8-bit games included on the NES Classic Edition. The latest game to go under the magnifying glass is the original Metroid!
Yoshio Sakamoto and Hiroji Kiyotake answer questions about Metroid’s development. As always, this interview offers insight into how the game came to be. Learn little details, like how they wanted Metroid to be what Mario wasn’t.
The full interview can be found on the official NES Classic Edition page right here. If you haven’t read the prior interviews, they’re also available at the bottom of the page.
