Every now and then box art makes it way out to the public via certifications. This time around it’s the CPSIA certificate (Children’s Product Certificate) that’s needed for testing of toys before they get released.
Both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Guardian amiibo and the Yoshi’s Woolly World Poochy amiibo have been discovered. Keep in mind that Poochy is scheduled to launch alongside the 3DS game in early February.
While I wouldn’t read too much into it, I find it very interesting that the Guardian amiibo is already certified, especially when rumors have been pointing to Zelda not coming out in March. It could be that the amiibo are ready to go and therefore the certification was done well in advance. I don’t think this signals the game will come out in March, but we won’t know for sure until Nintendo makes a release date announcement.
