VIDEO: Lego City Undercover Official Trailer & Pre-Order Up At Amazon
[Updated on 1/12/17 – Co-Op Info]:
It has come to our attention that in the detailed description on Amazon’s site, it mentions the game will have 2 player co-op. The original did not have this mode, so this is great if true!
Join the Chase! In LEGO CITY Undercover, play as Chase McCain, a police officer who’s been tasked with going undercover to hunt down the notorious – and recently escaped – criminal Rex Fury and putting an end to his city-wide crime wave. With two player co-op, friends can explore the sprawling open-world metropolis that is LEGO City, with more than 20 unique districts to investigate, car thieves to bust, hilarious movie references to discover, vehicles to drive, and hundreds of collectibles. LEGO CITY Undercover brings together witty, original storytelling with signature LEGO humor to create a fun-filled experience for players of all ages to enjoy.
[Original Story]:
We mentioned last year that Lego City Undercover was coming to the Nintendo Switch this spring. It now has an official announcement trailer to kick things into gear. In addition, Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for the game on Switch. It has a placeholder date of April 30 (a Sunday), so expect it to release sooner than that. Chances are it could be a launch game, and we’ll find that out in the next day.
If you haven’t ever played Lego City Undercover, it remains my favorite in the entire series. It’s got a vast world to explore and if you like to find all of the collectibles in games, you’re easily in for a 50 hour adventure. The game has excellent humor and is just fun to play. No word yet on the enhancements (if any) made to the Switch port. We’ll keep you updated.
