Nintendo isn’t known for giving its players tons of control options in its games. Very often it selects what it feels is perfect for the game and then doesn’t allow further customization. For The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there will be some control options that the player is able to change. Someone snapped a photo of the options screen at one of the latest hands-on events:
I know I can’t be the only one that is happy to see an option for inverted vertical camera. I’m probably in the minority, but it’s definitely the method I prefer. It’s great to see that the minimap can be fixed so that North is always on top. I’m curious to learn more about the HUD mode and whether or not certain elements can be removed completely.
I always prefer when the developer give the players the ability to customize controls. Everyone has specific gaming preferences and it’s definitely a welcome addition. Zelda will release simultaneously on the Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3, 2017. For more information, be sure to hit up our preview.
