Get Ready For Switch By Claiming Your Nintendo Account User ID
Nintendo has added a new field to its Nintendo Account page that allows you to tie a User ID to it. Some of you may have already done this, but most probably have not. Don’t be alarmed when your name is converted to all lowercase letters, this seems to be the norm. You may have to set a password as well. It’s not 100% confirmed that this User ID will be utilized for the Nintendo Switch, but it seems very likely.
In any case, it doesn’t hurt to secure your favorite alias now. No need to take a chance that someone else will swoop in and steal it.
