Nintendo Digital Download Thursdays

It’s a busy week for the eShop with the Nintendo Switch launching tomorrow. Because of that, many of the games announced for this week’s downloads won’t be available until tonight at midnight.

For The Wii U we have two TurboGrafx-16 games hitting the Virtual Console. Just incase Zelda isn’t enough action and adventure for you, now you can download Dungeon Explorer and Neutopia. The former is a lot like Gauntlet or Diablo, allowing you to play with up to five total players as you stomp out the monsters roaming the dungeons. It’s an OK game, but the genre has been improved so much over the years that it’s hard to recommend it unless you have a full five player roster locally to have some fun.

Neutopia is actually closer to the Zelda experience of days long ago. It copies many aspects of the classic game right down to the overhead viewpoint and 8 dungeons. If you’re tired of playing through the original Zelda over and over again, this could be a satisfactory play through.

Of course, the biggest release of the week, and maybe even the entire year is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and that comes out tonight at midnight. Check out our extensive preview that’s been updated for the past 9 months with videos, screens, art, and information. Something tells us you don’t need any more convincing to pick this one up.
