Dragon Quest Heroes I & II Coming To America Courtesy Of Nintendo
GameStop Takes Down Listing
Updated 10/25/17
Since the time of the original publication, GameStop has completely taken down the listing for Dragon Quest Heroes I & II for the Nintendo Switch. We’re still waiting to hear more, but given how packed the fall has been with Switch games and the fact that Fire Emblem Warriors just released (and it’s very similar), we wouldn’t be surprised to see this game come out in early 2018. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
Original Story:
This isn’t a huge surprise, but Nintendo is apparently publishing Dragon Quest Heroes I & II in the United States. It has a long history of publishing the Dragon Quest games in North America, and it appears the trend is continuing with the Nintendo Switch.
No official release date has been announced, but it’s been available in Japan since the system launched on March 3. If you’re eager to take it for a spin, there is a free demo up on the Japanese Switch eShop. You can easily create a second account and try it out for yourself. You can go to GameStop in person at a brick and mortar location or order a copy via its site, where it lists Nintendo as the publisher.

Where is the source on this? I’d love to believe it but haven’t seen any mention of a US release of the switch version of DQ Heroes 1 & 2 anywhere.
When the story was originally published, GameStop had the game listed on its site with Nintendo as the publisher. Unfortunately since then they have taken it down. I think once Nintendo officially shows it off (probably next month at E3) that it will reappear.
Cool, makes sense! Thanks!
You bet! In retrospect I should have taken a screen grab. I didn’t expect them to remove the page.
