Closer Look At The Upcoming Neon Yellow Joy-Cons

The Nintendo Switch has only been out for a little over a month and already Nintendo is showing off a brand new color for the Joy-Cons! Not that we mind, but what do you think? Is this a good look or is simply too bright? At least you might be able to find your Switch in a pitch black room. Just don’t stare too long at them or they’ll burn a whole in your retinas.

The Neon Yellow Joy-Cons will be made available the same day that ARMS releases: June 16, 2017. For those keeping track, yes that’s E3 week (a day after the show ends). Coincidence? We think not! Nintendo obviously wanted the game to be playable at the show to drum up some last minute marketing.

Also announced as coming out the same day are brand new Joy-Con Battery Packs. These attach right to the back of the Joy-Con controllers and take 2 AA batteries. This extends the life of the controllers and could come in handy if you’re on the go and don’t have access to a power source. Of course, Joy-Cons do last 20 hours when fully charged, so we’re not entirely sold on the necessity of the item.
