Classic arcade fans will be happy to see Namco Museum heading to the Nintendo Switch. It includes arcade ports of: Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Galaga ’88, The Tower of Druaga, Rolling Thunder, Rolling Thunder 2, SkyKid, Splatterhouse, and Tank Force. If they were two player simultaneous in the arcade (Rolling Thunder 1 & 2, SkyKid, and Tank Force), they are here as well and it’s as easy as handing a Joy-Con to the person next to you get your co-op gaming session started.
Unique to this compilation is the ability to turn your Nintendo Switch 90 degrees to play in a vertical screen format. Many arcade machines back in the ’80s were designed in this manner, so now players will be able to achieve a more accurate display for some of the classic hits.
In addition, Namco has added special Challenge Modes to each game. These add more variety to the standard arcade experience and will offer up some additional fun. Players will be able to compete for the top score worldwide with the Namco Museum ranking system.
Namco Museum is scheduled to come out sometime this summer. It will be available digitally for $29.99.
