Nintendo Announces 2017 Summer Play Tour
Nintendo is taking its games on the road again this summer to let fans and newcomers check out some of their lineup. While some of the games, like Zelda and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, have already been released, games like Splatoon 2, Hey! Pikmin, and Miitopia will be be available to preview at this tour as well. In addition, the New 2DS XL will be available to try out.
Those with a My Nintendo rewards account can also receive a free gift by attending. This tour sounds like a lot of fun for gamers of all ages and a great way to promote some of the games recently released or coming very soon. We’re going to try and go to the Mall of America to get some hands-on time with the upcoming games and to hang out and meet some local Nintendo fans! Maybe we’ll see you there?

Now with games like Splatoon 2 and ARMS, fun new memories can be created this summer. In addition to getting hands-on time with Nintendo’s popular Nintendo Switch console, visitors of the tour will be able to try out Nintendo’s latest hand-held, the New Nintendo 2DS XL system, as well as the upcoming Hey! PIKMIN and Miitopia games for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

In addition to snapping photos in front of the colorful visuals full of recognizable Nintendo characters like Mario and the Inklings from the Splatoonseries, families will be able to play Nintendo games together, choosing from a wide variety of Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS games. People who pre-order or purchase select Nintendo games at participating GameStop locations near the 2017 Summer of Play tour stops will receive a Nintendo branded PopSocket mobile accessory device (limited quantity; while supplies last).
