VIDEO: Super Nintendo World Begins Construction At Universal Japan

The groundbreaking ceremony just took place at Universal Studios Japan for the construction of Super Nintendo World. This new part of the park will include a brand new Mario Kart attraction. It will be the centerpiece of the new area and have the world’s most advanced tech.

Universal is spending an estimated 60 billion yen ($546 million!) to create this magical new place. It will feature two layers of attractions, shops, and restaurants. This new addition to the park is scheduled to open by 2020, ahead of the Olympic Games. No word yet on when construction will begin at Universal Orlando or Hollywood.
