Nintendo Switch Firmware Update 3.0 Now Available
The Nintendo Switch has received its first major firmware update today. Previous ones were stability enhancements, but this one adds some new features to the mix. The biggest one is the ability to add friends from your current 3DS and Wii U lists. This will make it easier than ever before to get everyone transferred over.
There are some other nice quality of life improvements as well. For example, you will now be able to turn on notifications when a friend comes online. While the system used to flash how many friends were online when you began a game, this should (in theory) be more like Xbox Live and PSN where the name of the friend will show up as they log on.
