Thimbleweed Park Coming To Nintendo Switch

One of my absolute favorite games growing up in the ’80s was Maniac Mansion on the Commodore 64 (and later the NES). The game was crazy and the puzzles were amazing. It got me hooked on the point and click adventure game genre, and that’s why I was so excited when Thimbleweed Park was announced from some of the same creative forces involved in the early days: Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.

Although I’ve played the game on PC, I’m psyched to see that it’s making its way to the Nintendo Switch, presumably this year. Ron Gilbert confirmed it’s running on the Switch (check out the video below) and that it’s being developed in-house for the new system. It looks like the game will feature touch controls, and hopefully controller support is also included.

We expect a more formal announcement sometime in the next week or so. Hopefully we’ll get a release date at that point!
