Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 For Nintendo Switch Preview

Dragon Ball is finally making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Back at the January Switch unveiling event we knew the game was in development, but we waited and waited for a release date. Well, finally the information is here! Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 For Nintendo Switch (let’s hope these types of titles don’t catch on) is arriving in North America on September 22, 2017.

Like many of the Dragon Ball games, Xenoverse 2 puts an emphasis on fighting. This title is a 3D arena brawler with extensive ways to level-up your fighters. Much like ARMS, Xenoverse 2 will require you to use your powers sparingly – saving them up for the exact moment where you can unleash an array of damage against your opponent.

The Nintendo Switch version does receive some enhancements over its rivals. First up, the controls have been modified to allow optional motion when performing moves like Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb. Thanks to its portable nature, the Switch version also allows for up to 6 player local play. Players can even “share the Joy” by snapping off one of the 2 Joy-Con controllers and handing it to a friend for a quick match. The game still supports online battles for up to six players.

All told, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 For Nintendo Switch is shaping up to be a full-fledged game filled with options. This version could very well become the best way to play the game when it launches in a few months!
