Mario Scores Big At Gamescom 2017
Gamescom, Europe’s answer to E3, has come and gone and the awards for best games at the show have been announced. Super Mario Odyssey came away with multiple awards, including:
Best Console Game Nintendo Switch
- FIFA 18, Electronic Arts
- Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Ubisoft
- Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo
Best Action Game
- Call of Duty: WWII, Activision Blizzard
- Destiny 2, Activision Blizzard
- Mittelerde: Schatten des Krieges, Warner Bros.
- Star Wars Battlefront 2, Electronic Arts

Best Family Game
- Anki Overdrive: Fast & Furious Edition, Anki

- Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, Bandai Namco
- Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo
Metroid: Samus Returns won the best mobile game award and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle nabbed Best Strategy Game award, beating out Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Tropico 6, Total War: Warhammer II, and Ancestors. Great job Nintendo!
