Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap Sold More On Switch Than All Other Versions Combined
One of the standout games early in the Nintendo Switch’s life was Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Its beautiful art style and classic 8-bit platforming captured the attention of many Nintendo fans. The game has gone on to be a smashing success on the Switch, selling more on that system than all of the other platforms combined (which includes PS4, Xbox One, and PC). Considering their huge install bases, that’s a mighty achievement!
Of course, we must remember that the Switch didn’t have (and still doesn’t to some extent) many games to choose from, so it’s only natural that the owners of the system craved some new titles. Plus, cutesy old-school games fit the Nintendo demographic as well, so that probably helped. It doesn’t hurt that the game is pretty dang fun to play as well! Read our full review here.
