Nintendo Switch Interactive Kiosks Getting Super Mario Odyssey Demo

Many retailers have had a Nintendo Switch kiosk since before the system launched back on March 3, 2017. The biggest letdown for many customers was that there wasn’t an actual Nintendo Switch in the demo station. Instead users could pick from a variety of videos to watch.

Now Nintendo is retrofitting those kiosks to make them full fledged demo stations. We know that Best Buy and GameStop locations are in the process of, ahem, switching over to the new hardware and most locations should see the demos in the first few weeks of October.

The best part is that Super Mario Odyssey is one of the playable games! You’ll be able to run around Tostarena (the desert area). There is a 10 minute timer so you can’t find all of the moons, but it should give you a nice taste of the final game. Also playable is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokkén Tournament DX.

Check in with your local retailer to see if they’ve been updated with the playable kiosk. Keep in mind some locations will take longer than others, but hopefully one near you will have the demo soon!

How far in the BOTW demo can you go? Is it like the WW Demo where if the timer was hacked off 95 percent of the game was playable? I would post a link but websites no longer allow it.
