Huge Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Preview At Game Informer
Game Informer has gotten its hands on a playable copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. They’ve put in about four hours and have seemingly come away pretty impressed. There is a ton of information to dive into, and we heartily recommend reading all three pages of content. Of special note is that the game contains 10 chapters, and into chapter 4 the playtime was already at the 45-hour mark. The game’s producer, Mr. Takahaski had this to say about the game’s length:
As you may or may not have expected, the playtime required to beat this game is a little on the high side. If you just play the mainline story, there’s still enough to probably be comparable to Xenoblade 1, but like in past Xeno series, if you are just playing the main story, there might be times where you encounter a boss or an enemy that’s actually a little bit too tough or very tough for you to beat. I strongly recommend taking side roads, taking the time to explore different areas, defeating monsters, picking up items, leveling your character up, [and] doing quests.
That’s perfect, since we love completing quests and exploring the world. He’s not quite sure what comes next, although if they stay with the story-driven Xenoblade formula they will probably stay with the numbered sequels. Read the full article here!
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 arrives exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on December 1, 2017. We will have a full review after the game launches.
