Mega Man 11 Announced For Nintendo Switch

Mega Man 11 has just been announced for current generation machines, including the Nintendo Switch! It will arrive in late 2018 and Capcom will share more this summer. The game’s graphics engine has been completely redone to have a more anime/cartoony look to it. This game isn’t using an 8-bit or 16-bit aesthetic, but instead looks like current day graphic styles.

It appears from the short trailer shown that Mega Man will be able to use some of his skills and weapons to change the environment. Also, Rush the robot dog makes a return! The game still retains its 2D platforming mechanics, but the backgrounds have a 2.5D element to them and they look really great. In fact, the entire game is a breath of fresh air for the series and should excite both longtime fans as well as newcomers. We’ll have more information as we learn it.
