Nintendo Shares Data On Most-Played Nintendo Switch Games In 2017

We get data points all the time about which game is selling more than the other, but we rarely get a look at which games are actually taking up the most of gamers’ time. Nintendo has just revealed the top 20 most played games on Switch since it debuted on March 3. These were revealed on the Switch News channel that’s on the system. Nintendo has combined the total number of hours played on each game and these are the ones that have racked up the most time played:

1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
2. Super Mario Odyssey
3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
4. Splatoon 2
5. Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition
6. Stardew Valley
7. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
8. ARMS
9. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
10. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+
11. NBA 2K18
12. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
13. Fire Emblem Warriors
14. LEGO City Undercover
15. Sonic Mania
16. Pokkén Tournament DX
17. 1-2 Switch
18. FIFA 18
19. Disgaea 5 Complete
20. Rocket League

It’s probably no surprise to see Zelda in the top spot, seeing as it has such a high install base and is one of the system sellers. Likewise for Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Given that it hasn’t sold near as well as the top three, I’m a bit surprised to see Splatoon 2 rank so high. That says that a lot of people log onto the game daily and play online. No Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a bummer, but maybe it’s just too recent of a release to have the hours add up yet.

What’s your most-played game according to your Switch? Mine is indeed Zelda, with over 130 hours played.
