VIDEO: Project Octopath Traveler Player Feedback & Developer Update
Last year when Square Enix released a demo for Project Octopath Traveler on the Nintendo Switch, it also asked for feedback via a survey that was sent out to those who downloaded the game demo. They received over 45,000 responses and have made some changes to the upcoming game to address concerns and make the game even better. The video below dives into the improvements and we’ve listed some as well:
Some of the improvements being implemented in the final game are:
Final game will have a total of 9 save slots and 1 auto-save slot

Fast Travel
Running no longer assigned to a button, but instead depends on how far the analog stick is moved
Can run even faster with a press of a button, but the encounter rate of enemies is also increased
Can now skip events and rewatch them in a theater mode
Text speed can be changed
Dungeons will be slightly altered for visibility
Can change brightness in menu
Larger text
There will be 4-player parties, but haven’t shown them off in combat yet
