GameCube Controller Adapter Releasing Alongside Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Nintendo announced on its E3 Direct video that players would be able to use GameCube controllers to play the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch. Obviously the Switch Dock has some USB ports, which the GameCube controller adapter would need to plug into. These adapters were released for the Wii U, but don’t worry if you’re didn’t pick one up back in the day. Nintendo told GameSpot that they’ll be releasing more of these adapters for $19.99 alongside the game on December 7.
Of course, if you prefer you can always use the Joy-Con controllers or the Switch Pro controller. If you don’t have any GameCube controllers, a special Smash version will come out in December as well, although Nintendo didn’t provide a price.
