Octopath Traveler Reportedly Sold Out Ahead Of Release At Japan’s Yodobashi Camera

According to Nintendo Soup, Yodobash Camera (the equivalent to Best Buy in Japan) has completely sold out of Octopath Traveler pre-orders just four days before the game launches. This is an unusual scenario in today’s day and age and could be an early sign that the game is exceeding sales expectations. Or it could mean that the retailer simply ordered too few copies.

It should be noted the game is currently ranked at the number 1 selling video game on Amazon Japan, so it is definitely getting attention. Octopath Traveler launches this week on Friday the 13th. We’re definitely picking up a copy! How about you?
