WWE 2K19 Not Coming To Switch

Last month WWE 2K19 was announced for all platforms except Nintendo Switch. Some wondered if the game was skipping the platform entirely or if they were waiting to announce it at a later date. It turns out that 2K has decided to skip the Switch version this year.

Those that purchased WWE 2K18 for the Switch last year know that it wasn’t the best entry by a long shot. The game was continuously delayed and still shipped with bugs and glitches. It appears that perhaps the development team doesn’t have enough experience with the Switch to produce a good port. Companies like EA have created special engines to run their games (FIFA) and others have used port companies like Panic Button to ensure high quality (Wolfenstein II, DOOM, Rocket League). So, we think it’s a matter of money, priority, and time and resources and 2K Games probably doesn’t think they’d make back their return on investment – at least not for this year’s entry of WWE.

The game is scheduled to arrive on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 8. Are you disappointed that it’s skipping the Switch?
