With so many print ads, videos, and commercials thrown at us every single day, it takes something a little special to get noticed. That happened to me today as I went through my e-mails and came across this one from Nintendo:
It stands out for a couple of reasons. First up, it’s nice to see Nintendo pushing some of their hardcore games, especially ones from third parties. Second, it’s a clever new twist on the play anytime, anywhere slogan they’ve been using since launch. And third, I just thought it was cool that my “Gaming Forecast” was actually accurate – those are indeed the scheduled highs for my area! Gimmicky? Sure, but it caught my eye and now it has caught yours. That’s a marketing success.
