Target Black Friday Video Game Deals Include Free Mario Kart 8 Deluxe With Switch

‘Tis the season and here we are on November 1 and the first Black Friday ad is out! Target has graciously posted its Black Friday ad ahead of the leaks so we can all take a nice long look at it.

While last year’s holiday season passed us by with no real discounts on the Nintendo Switch hardware and bundles that raised the price to $379.99 versus packing in actual free items, this year is going to be different! Target has the Nintendo Switch right on the front page of the ad for $299.99 with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (a $60 savings). This should be a fantastic gift for gamers of all ages.

As far as actual sale prices on Switch games, there’s not much in the ad. We spotted Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy, Just Dance 2019, Nickelodeon Kart Racers, and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle all on sale for $25 each. For $35 you’ll be able to snag a copy of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Not exactly a vast selection! We’re digging the special Super Mario Maker 2DS system though. It’s only $79.99 and comes packed with the game. Plus it’s not a bad color.

If you also have a PS4 or an Xbox One, there’s some really great sales on games like God of War ($25) and Forza Horizon 4 ($35).

Speaking of PS4, Target (and we assume all retailers) will have a special Spider-Man PS4 bundle for Black Friday. It includes a 1TB PS4 Slim with one of the hottest games on the market for only $199.99. Keep in mind this system normally retails for $299.99 without any games, so you’re in effect saving $160. On the Switch side of things there are 20% off discounts on wired controllers and carrying cases.

One of our favorite games of the year for the Switch, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, is going to be on sale for $39.99 ($35 off). It includes the game, the Arwing ship, 2 pilots, and 2 weapons. This is a really great gift idea for anyone liking exploration games set in a sci-fi universe. Also noteworthy for PS4 owners is that all PlayStation VR bundles will be $100 off!

Finally, on the last page of the ad is Lego DC Super Villains for the Switch at half price ($30). Also, if you’re in the market for a new white Xbox One S 1TB system with Minecraft, Target will knock off $100 and throw in a $20 Target gift card. If you want a different Xbox One, Target will shave off $70 (we assume this would work with the Xbox One X).
