Super Mario Maker 2 Comes To Switch This June

Today’s Nintendo Direct kicked off with a first look at Super Mario Maker 2, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch this June. No doubt it will be featured heavily at this year’s E3 show. It was wildly successful a few years back with the Nintendo World Championships, so that leads us to wonder if Nintendo will try a repeat event?

This one includes all sorts of new items and tools to play around with, including a bunch of stuff from Super Mario 3D World. You’ll be able to play at Cat Mario and even include see-through pipes. People wondered how a game like this would work without the second touch screen like the 3DS and Wii U had, but it appears Nintendo has rolled with it by completely overhauling the UI!

There’s still a ton we don’t know about the game. One thing that stood out is that the title graphic on their YouTube video shows Mario and Luigi – so maybe it will include some sort of multiplayer angle this time around? No matter what, this one looks like it will provide endless hours of entertainment and we’re highly looking forward to it!

OFFICIAL PR:

In this new game, a sequel to the original Wii U™ game, players can create the Super Mario courses of their dreams, with access to even more tools, items and features, including the new ability to create slopes for the first time. Super Mario Maker 2 launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch this June.
