Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield Announced For Nintendo Switch
As promised, the Pokémon Direct revealed some big news! Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Right now a release date has not been announced, but we know it’s scheduled for a “late 2019” worldwide release.
The games will feature new Pokémon, a new region, and a brand new adventure. The starter Pokémon were revealed as well. They include: Grookey (Grass), Scorbunny (Fire), and Sobble (Water).
The new land you’ll get to explore this time around is called the Galar Region. It features grassy plains, steep mountaintops, and classic cities.
You can learn more at the official Pokémon site! Are you excited? We think it’s great we’re getting a new Pokémon adventure this year for the Switch. The footage looked a bit rough, but the graphics have time to get touched up and frame rate hopefully will be improved before launch.
