Sequel To The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Shown
We were surprised to find out the end of today’s E3 2019 Nintendo Direct that a brand new sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch! Anyone who is a regular listener to Nintendo Times Radio or has read our review of the original will know that it’s now my favorite game of all time. I’m beyond excited to see what awaits in this new sequel.
No word on a release date or even release year, but the trailer definitely has my interest piqued. It appears that both Link and Zelda are exploring beneath Hyrule Castle and come across an evil force that begins to escape. The castle can be seen at the end of the trailer lifting up out of the ground!
Is this trailer a hint that traditional dungeons might be returning? Are we going to be exploring the same Hyrule we already played through in the prior game? I can’t wait to find out more details! Hopefully we won’t have to wait YEARS to play this one. A fall 2020 date would be amazing…but that is also probably wishful thinking. Time to rewatch the trailer another 20 times!
