Pokémon Direct Details

The Pokémon Direct just finished up and there were two announcements. The first is that Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 6, 2020. This is a remake of the GBA games and features awesome new visuals.

The other big news item is that Pokémon Sword and Shield are getting Expansion Packs. It seems like they will have a ton of stuff in them, with more Pokémon and new locations and characters. The content will be coming in two separate DLC packs: The Isle of Armor (June) and The Crown Tundra (Fall 2020). Each part offers a different adventure. Different Pokémon will appear in the Sword and Shield expansions. More than 200 well-known Pokémon will appear in these new regions. Even if you don’t buy the expansions you can still grab them from someone that does via trading (requires updates). The Expansion Pass will go up later today for pre-purchase and costs $29.99.
