The Wonderful 101: Remastered Has Been Kickstarted
The Wonderful 101 was originally a Wii U game that really didn’t reach a big enough audience thanks to the failure of the system. It’s been rumored to be coming to the Nintendo Switch for a long time now, and today Platinum Games created a Kickstarter to help fund the project. The Switch version hit its goal in about 5 minutes – so it’s now confirmed as coming to the system.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered runs about $36 for the digital copy and about $41 for the physical edition. The pricing is in Yen, so depending on what the conversion rate is when the project finishes the price could sway slightly one way or the other. As of now they expect the game to release in April – just a few months away!
There are multiple tiers for backers to join to support the project. As of this writing they have raised over $500,000. That means some of the stretch goals have been unlocked, including the Switch version, the Steam version, and the PS4 version. If they hit $1 million they’ll add a Time Attack mode and at $1.5 million they’ll create Luka’s First Mission (2D side-scrolling adventure).
